Visa to Russia

There are two ways for obtain Russian visa to visit Saint – Petersburg

  1. RECOMMENDED! Electronic VISA for EU Schengen countries citizens including Switzerland and Japan citizens



  • The permitted stay in the Russian Federation with an e-visa is up to 8 days starting from the date of entry, within its validity period
  • An e-visa for the selected entity of the Russian Federation is only valid for entering and leaving the Russian Federation at the following national border checkpoints:

air checkpoint «Pulkovo»;

naval checkpoints «Vysotsk», «Big port Saint Petersburg (Marine Station)», «Passenger port Saint Petersburg»;

automobile checkpoints «Ivangorod», «Torfjanovka», «Brusnitchnoe», «Svetogorsk»;

pedestrian checkpoint «Ivangorod».

It means – you must have direct flight to St-Petersburg. If your connection will be through any Russian city (Moscow for example) please be sure that there is no necessity for immigration formalities and getting out from connection airport.

Also please note:  Entry and exit on an e-visa by means of rail transport is currently unavailable – PLANE, SHIP, CAR only.

  1. Regular Tourist Visa. Please check the website of Russian Embassy in your country. Normally you need only hotel booking and tickets but special travel agencies support highly recommended.
